| 1. Go to the Patch Archive. |

| 2. Find a patch you would like to use, and click on the "HERE" link. |
|
| 3. In the first box that pops up, select "Save this file to disk" and press "OK". |
|
|
4. In the next box that appears, click or double-click these locations, in order:
* "My Computer" icon (on the left) |
|
| 5. Click on the "Create New Folder" icon, and type the name of a folder to put your patch in. (You can call it whatever you like.) |
|
| 6. Double-click your new folder, and then press "Save". |
|
| 7. Wait for the download to finish, and close the download box. |
|
| 8. Open your Furcadia folder (Start menu --> Programs --> Furcadia --> Furcadia Tools --> Furcadia Folder). |
|
| 9. Click on the "patches" folder, then on your new folder. |
|
| 10. Right-click on the "Zip file", and click on "Extract all..." |
|
| 11. In the dialog box that appears, delete the name of the Zip file from the end of the path (as shown in the picture). |
|
| 12. Click "Next", then click "Finish". |
|
| 13. Open your dream in DreamEd. In the Patches menu, click on "Dream Settings..." |
|
| 14. Click on the radio button: "I want to use files from this directory..." |
|
| 15. Click on the "Browse" button, and then double-click the word [patches] and then the name of the patch folder you made. (If you can't see either of these, try double-clicking the [..] sign until you can.) |
|
| 16. Click the "OK" button, in both windows, to make them disappear. |
|
| 17. Your dream should now have access to the patched files! For item patches, look at items 2400 onwards; for floor patches, try floor 500 and up. |
